Growing up there was always some kind of craft my mom and I were absorbed in. We dabbled in everything from stained glass to basket weaving. In 1996 we took a trip to visit a crafty aunt in Chicago. One of the activities she had planned for us was a visit to the Polyform Products headquarters. While there, we were introduced to Sculpey III in a workshop class and learned how to make jelly roll canes. For a number of years Sculpey was my main crafting medium.
Time went on and life got in the way. I continued to craft but mainly dabbled in various mediums. Almost 20 years later I’ve come back to polymer clay and I am absolutely amazed at the variety of art from other PC artists. I’ve decided to use my past experience to my advantage as I rediscover a craft I enjoyed so much while experimenting and learning about all the new techniques that are utilized by PC artists today.
I currently work as a graphic designer and live in Southern California with my husband and “tiny fat wolf” shiba inu.
